Intimate tasting with 10 of us. Luis was friendly, thorough, and informed. The Port was excellent. We had another tasting later at a bigger Port House that was much larger and impersonal. I recommend Pocas highly!

The tour and tasting were excellent. We had already enjoyed some port wine but it was great to learn about the process, different types, aging, etc. Our guide was great - knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and personable. The audio guides were great to make sure we heard well while preserving the calm ambiance. We enjoyed the tasting very much, the wine was great. We opted to add on the cheese board and were pleasantly surprised with the quantity and how well it complemented the wine - we thought it was worth the extra $

Fantastic experience with Gonçalo as our tour guide. It was a lovely, more intimate Port tour than many of the mega-port producers you find down in the ribeira/river district. Great selection of Vintages and Colheitas as well, which you just don't see nearly as much of at some of the other port facilities/tasting rooms. Overall, it was great to see a smaller-production facility, and one that's Portuguese-owned.

Incredible experience. The cellar is very well maintained and updated while keeping its traditional style. The staff and tour guide were very very nice, open top answers questions and making sure the experience is going well. What to say about the wines? Amazing! We were also visiting the place with our kids that did not get bored at all and had a tasting of mosto (non-alcohol wine), juice, and some chocolates. Thanks!

We were with a group of 34 people and had a great experience at Poças. Our host Yara was awesome and shared a lot of interesting information and historical insights with us. You can tell it's a family company, one of the few left in the Port wine business. The site is beautiful and the tasting was delicious. Highly recommended!!

Port tasting at Pocas cellars was one of the highlights of our holiday in Portugal. We enjoyed very informative tour in the cellars by our host. We have chosen to taste 4 ports - 2 Colheitas and 2 Vintage ports, all very tasty and exclusive. We were happy buyers too. We highly recommend this experience if you are in Porto.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
We only wanted to sample fine Port, therefore bought the ‘Golden Years Port Tasting Experience’
The guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The group size was far less than other Port Lodges. We were given a very personal service.
The quality of the Port was SUPERB. After the tour and the tastings, we chatted with staff and they arranged for some further tastings as we were keen to compare.
We bought delicious Port and are going to ship some home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our informative and passionate visit...came away with more knowledge and respect for port wines (and a box to be delivered home to the states)! Used the hop on hop off bus to get close enough to walk to our tour ..very helpful transport. We added the cheese and cracker plate to our sampling (very very nice)

How long does the tour last?
About 1.5 hours, including the guided tour and tasting—a perfect break in your Porto adventure.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, booking ahead is recommended to ensure your preferred time is available.
In which languages are the tours conducted?
Our guides speak Portuguese, English, French, Spanish, and Italian—your experience, your language.
Can I purchase wine on-site?
Absolutely. You can even arrange for direct shipping to your home, so you can enjoy the Douro’s finest without the hassle.
Are children allowed?
Yes. And don't worry they won't be bored. They can enjoy a tasting of grape juice and some cookies.
What if I’m not a wine expert?
No problem! Our tours are designed for everyone, from beginners to connoisseurs.
What if I’m pregnant or don't drink alcohol?
You just need to buy a "youth ticket" - 8€.
If we choose different experiences, will we still do the same visit together?
